I have a USB "switch" to enable me to use my mouse for both the lap-top and my desktop. I sometimes have trouble when switching over as my cursor just stops responding on the XP system. I managed to use the keys to get to hardware manager and carried out a scan for hardware changes but the box "Scanning Plug & Play compliant Hardware" appeared and is still there 10 minutes later and may well stay there until the cows come home, any ideas please?Have XP SP3 (fully microsoft updated)Vanguard_11 person needs an answerI do too
